Mr. Shakeel Ahmad Ramay
Mr. Shakil Ahmad is a political economist who has been working on China studies, Belt and Route Initiative, CPEC, global diplomacy, digital diplomacy, emotional intelligence, hybrid warfare, global governance, Political economy, climate change negotiations, track-II diplomacy and teaching for over thirteen years now.
He is member of Pakistan Climate Change Council, Green Finance Committee and Advisory Committee for PM Youth Programme. He has been part of government delegation for climate change negotiation at UNFCCC for many years. He worked closely with following parliament’s committees, Foreign Relation, Defense Committee etc.
In the past he has been coordinator of Council for Women Parliamentarian; forum established to support women parliamentarians and brings them under one umbrella irrespective of their political affiliations. Moreover, he was also coordinator of Non-Muslim Minority Council and Green Parliamentarians Caucus. He was also coordinator for Imagine New South Asia network of leading think tanks and civil society organizations in South Asia. It works to mitigate conflicts and pave ways for cooperation. Shakil also served on board of regional network, Climate Action Network South Asia (CANSA).
Shakeel has good experience to publish on emerging and complex issues like climate change and national security, Belt and Route Initiative, SCO, CPEC, Clash of Civilization or End of Civilization etc. He also regularly writes in different newspaper like Tribune, The News, Dawn, Daily Times etc. He also regularly appears on TV channels on different issues. He teaches Digital Diplomacy, Negotiation Skills and Conflict Transformation at Foreign Services Academy of Pakistan. He also delivers lectures at ISPR headquarter on request on different subjects.
Mr. Shakeel is also alumni of China, Federal Foreign Office Germany, Foreign Office Australia and Sate Department of USA.
